Service terms summary
Here are the key terms of your Tuckamore service, in plain words. Your contract holds the complete terms, and this page summarises them.
Your internet service comes from AS30265, the Canadian internet provider behind Tuckamore, with its home in St. John's.
The CRTC Internet Code, adopted in full
Tuckamore adopts the CRTC Internet Code in full, as set out in Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2019-269. Its protections apply to your service, and the terms below put it into practice.
Your plan
- Fibre internet at 3 Gbps, right to your home.
- $130 a month, plus tax. Prices are in Canadian dollars.
- Month to month.
Billing
- You're billed monthly, in advance.
- Booking your installation date charges your first month and your installation together.
Cancelling
Cancel any day. You get a pro-rated refund for the days left in your prepaid month.
On the 24-month plan, the router terms below also apply.

Within one business day of your order, your contract and your two-page Critical Information Summary reach your inbox.
Installation
A technician visit is part of nearly every new installation. Your technician fits a compact fibre unit called an optical network terminal (ONT), on loan from the fibre network for as long as you have your line, and your router connects to its Ethernet port.

Installation credits
With a technician visit, you get $10 back on each of your first 24 bills while your service is active, for $240 in total across two years.
Your router
Pick the router option that suits you. Your $130 plan stays the same with all three.
- Buy it. Pay $399 and the Tuckamore router belongs to you from the first day.
- Include it. Take the 24-month plan and the router comes with it.
- Bring your own. Plug in the one you already have. The requirements are on the router setup page.
The 24-month plan
- We lend you the router, and it passes to you at the end of month 24.
- You hear from us 90 days before your term ends.
- After month 24, your service carries on month to month at the same price.
Leaving the 24-month plan early
Leaving before the end of month 24? Choose one:
- Send the router back in working order within 30 days of leaving, and that completes your router terms.
- Keep the router and pay what's left of its value, worked out as $399 × months remaining ÷ 24.
Each month takes $16.625 off the router's value, and any month you've begun counts in full.

The 15-day trial
On the 24-month plan, your first 15 days of service are a trial. Send the router back during those days, in near-new condition and in its original packaging, with your traffic at or below half the monthly fair use allowance, and we waive the router charge. Your installation charge remains.
The step to 8 Gbps
Once the fibre at your home is ready for 8 Gbps, your line steps up to 8 Gbps and your monthly price stays at $130. Because the speed rises and the price holds, the Internet Code lets us make the change for you automatically.
IPv6 and IPv4
- Native IPv6 comes with a static /48 that stays with your home while your service is active.
- By default, your router reaches IPv4 sites automatically over the IPv6 network. The Tuckamore router arrives ready for this.
- You can add a static IPv4 address, a /32, on request. Email support to ask for it. Hosting over IPv4 uses the static IPv4 add-on.
Fair use
Hosting services at home is welcome. Average traffic of up to 50 Mbps across a rolling 30 days, about 16 TB a month, fits your plan, and the fair use policy sets out every detail. Your $130 price is flat.
